F.T.C. to Take Another Look at Alcohol Ads

For the fourth time in 12 years, the Federal Trade Commission plans to study the effectiveness of the voluntary guidelines followed by most marketers of alcoholic beverages. The guidelines are intended primarily to reduce the exposure of advertising to those under the legal drinking age.

Screwcap Usage Estimated at 3 Billion?

This morning I received a report, entitled, "The New Zealand Screwcap Wine Seal Initiative -- Ten Years On," and this additional document, "From 100million to 3Billion," which estimates that out of seven billion wine bottles each year, screw-cap usage has grown from an estimated 100 million ten years ago to almost three billion this year. Wow.
